About This Directory
Workers Comp Psychologist Sydney is an independent online directory that helps NSW workers find SIRA-approved psychologists offering telehealth sessions under workers compensation (icare / SIRA). It is not a clinic, practice, or referral service. The directory was launched in 2026 and is independently operated. All content is produced for general educational purposes and does not constitute clinical, legal, or insurance advice.
This is an independent directory resource. It is not a clinic, practice, or clinical service. The directory is operated by an editorial team; no practitioner, legal, or clinical relationship is implied by use of this site.
What this site is
Workers Comp Psychologist Sydney (workerscomppsychologist.com.au) is an independent online directory. Its purpose is to help NSW workers find SIRA-approved psychologists who offer telehealth sessions under workers compensation (icare / SIRA). It covers the Sydney metropolitan area and telehealth-accessible practitioners across New South Wales.
We are not a clinic, practice, or referral agency. We do not employ psychologists and we do not provide clinical, legal, or insurance advice. The clinical relationship is between you and the psychologist you choose.
Why this matters
Navigating NSW workers compensation is complicated. Many workers do not know they can access psychological support, that telehealth is available, or that there is typically no out-of-pocket cost for approved sessions. The goal is to make that information clear and accessible, and to make finding a suitable practitioner easier.
What we cover
- SIRA-approved psychologists in Sydney who accept workers compensation (icare / SIRA) referrals
- Practitioners offering telehealth psychology sessions funded under the SIRA fee schedule
- Plain-English guides to the NSW workers compensation psychology pathway - from injury report to funded sessions
- The icare/SIRA framework, AHTR process, gazetted fee schedule, and 2026 reforms
Editorial Standards & How Listings Work
This directory applies defined editorial standards to how listings are created, maintained, and removed. These standards ensure information is accurate, fairly presented, and does not mislead workers about practitioner qualifications or claim entitlements.
How listings are sourced
Practitioner profiles are built from three primary sources:
- The AHPRA Registers of Practitioners - at ahpra.gov.au - confirming registration status and registration type.
- The SIRA health provider register - at sira.nsw.gov.au - confirming SIRA provider accreditation. Note: the SIRA register lists practices, not always individual practitioners; we note where SIRA status reflects a practice-level assertion versus individual verification.
- Practitioners' own public-facing websites - for biography, fees, therapy approaches, and booking links. The source URL is noted in each profile.
We do not create profiles from secondary sources, patient reports, or inferred information. We do not add clinical claims or outcome statements not present in the practitioner's own public materials.
How we verify information
- AHPRA registration: Confirmed at the AHPRA public register before listing. We do not list practitioners without current registration.
- Registration type: We use only the registration type confirmed by AHPRA. We do not upgrade a practitioner to "endorsed clinical psychologist" based on their own marketing materials alone.
- SIRA provider status: Confirmed against the SIRA public register at the time of listing. Workers compensation law requires practitioners to hold a SIRA provider number to bill for funded sessions - we note this status and advise workers to confirm directly before booking.
- Fees: Listed as SIRA gazetted rates where applicable, or private rates sourced directly from the practitioner's own website. SIRA gazetted rates are updated periodically - verify current rates at sira.nsw.gov.au.
- Unclaimed profiles: Pre-built profiles not yet verified by the practitioner are marked "Unclaimed" and contain only publicly available information. No booking form or contact pathway is enabled until the practitioner claims their listing.
How listings are updated
We periodically review listings to check for registration changes via the AHPRA register and SIRA register. Claimed profiles are updated when the practitioner submits updated information. Unclaimed profiles are reviewed against publicly available information when material discrepancies are reported.
How listings are removed
Any practitioner may request removal of their profile at any time. We process removal requests within 24 hours. See our listing removal page for the process.
Reporting inaccurate information
If you notice inaccurate information - including incorrect SIRA status, registration type, or outdated fees - please contact us via the listing removal page. We will review and correct within 48 hours. AHPRA registration type discrepancies are corrected by reference to the AHPRA register only.
