Check your claim status first. You need a GP-issued workers comp certificate of capacity and a referral to psychology before contacting a psychologist. If you do not have these yet, read how the process works.
Use the specialty filter. Filter by your main presentation (e.g. "Workplace trauma", "PTSD", "Bullying / harassment"). If your situation is work-related stress, try "Work-related stress" or "Anxiety" — many practitioners treat both.
Verify SIRA provider status. Only practitioners with a current SIRA provider number can bill your insurer directly — no gap for you. Profiles marked "SIRA provider" have confirmed this publicly. You can verify at the SIRA provider register.
Read two or three profiles. Look at specialties, experience, and bio. If a practitioner's profile mentions workers comp, icare, SIRA, IMR reports, or Recovery Plans, that signals they understand the scheme — not just general psychology.
