1. Listed practitioners by NSW region

The table below counts practitioners from the workers comp psychologist directory by NSW region. The suburb field in each listing determines region assignment. Practitioners listed as "Sydney (telehealth)" or "Sydney" with no fixed suburb are grouped as statewide telehealth providers.

2. Key observations from this dataset

• 49 of 57 listed practitioners carry the SIRA provider flag in this directory. The remaining 8 are listed as accepting workers compensation but with a note to confirm billing arrangements directly with the practice.
• Western Sydney is the most represented region in this directory. Parramatta accounts for 11 of the 15 practitioners listed in the Western Sydney group. Harris Park, Lidcombe, and Bankstown account for the remaining four.
• Seven statewide telehealth practitioners are listed with no fixed NSW suburb, meaning they can serve workers anywhere in NSW without a location requirement.
• The Hills District and Far Western Sydney corridor (Penrith, Blacktown, Blue Mountains) have no SIRA providers listed in this directory. Workers in these areas may access telehealth providers listed here, or search the SIRA provider register directly.
• Regional NSW representation is sparse in this directory. Outside Greater Sydney and the Central Coast, only two regions appear: the Hunter (Hamilton South, near Newcastle) and the Riverina (Wagga Wagga). Large regional centres including Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Dubbo, and the Far West are not represented in these listings.
• Four Eastern Suburbs listings carry SIRA provider status (Bondi Junction x2, Surry Hills x1, Zetland x1). Three Eastern Suburbs entries (Woollahra, Waverley, Kensington) do not have confirmed SIRA provider status in the directory data.

4. Methodology and data limitations

• Source: All counts are drawn from the workerscomppsychologist.com.au directory as of July 2026. Each entry is sourced from the practitioner's own public practice website. The directory's siraProvider field reflects that public claim -- it is not verified against the SIRA provider register on a rolling basis.
• Region assignment: Each practitioner is assigned to the region corresponding to their listed suburb. Practitioners listed as "Sydney (telehealth)" or "Sydney" with no fixed suburb are grouped as statewide telehealth. Where a suburb sits near a regional boundary (e.g. Lidcombe near the Parramatta/Auburn boundary), the practitioner is grouped with the most commonly associated region.
• No population denominators: ABS census figures are not used. This table presents raw listed counts only. No coverage-gap claims about the wider SIRA provider market are made on the basis of this directory alone.
• SIRA provider status: The siraProvider: true flag is set where the practitioner's own public website asserts SIRA/WorkCover provider accreditation at the individual practitioner level. A smaller set of entries is listed as accepting workers compensation at the practice level, with a note to confirm individual SIRA billing arrangements -- these are counted in "Listed" but not "SIRA providers."
• Update frequency: This page is updated when the directory adds or removes practitioners. Counts reflect a point-in-time snapshot; check the directory for the current state.
• Telehealth: Telehealth availability is noted explicitly in individual listings where stated. Practitioners not marked as telehealth may also offer remote sessions -- contact the practice to confirm.
